Check out races of interest, including those that polling show are likely to go to Democrats as well as some that are long shots, but possible.

I. Support MA Candidates for State Office

Sign up to help Thomas Melville or go to one of his fun events. He is a Democratic candidate for Plainville and several other towns looking to FLIP a seat blue.

Sign up to help Lisa Field or go to one of her fun events. She is a Democratic representative for Easton and Taunton up for re-election. Let’s keep this seat blue.

Please consider donating and volunteering. You can get more information about their candidacy at Field’s and Melville’s website. In addition, IMAB sent questionnaires to all state rep and senate candidates and received responses from Field, Hawkins, and Melville. To see their responses, go here.

IMAB is also proud to support Representative Jim Hawkins in his re-election campaign to represent residents in the City of Attleboro. Please vote for Hawkins, Field, and Melville! Follow and like them on Social Media!

See Progressive Mass for their endorsements, and candidate responses to their questionnaire.

Voting early and in person is the best way to cast your vote. FYI go here for more info about the 9 ballot questions. When will you vote? I really want to know.

Louisiana v. Callais Ruling Gutting the Voting Rights Act

  • Learn more about this decision by Civic Nebraska here, by Black Voters Matter here, by the ACLU here, and by United for Democracy here.
  • Go here for a social media tool kit with ready-to-go messages.
  • Racism is at the core of the assaults on democracy and there have been long-term efforts to erode our tools to fight it. Jasmine Crocket held a live panel Tuesday night right after the ruling. It does an amazing break-down of the impacts, implications and what needs to happen – watch the video.

Until Democrats can enact much-needed court reforms to counter the Supreme Court’s gutting the Voter Rights Act, if you can, please donate to the organizations that will be working overtime to counteract this decision:

REMEMBER

Things are NOT hopeless. This is a setback, NOT the end.

This decision is NOT final. This is a pivot point for what comes next.
