Indivisible Mansfield and Beyond (IMAB)

Who We Are

Indivisible Mansfield and Beyond is a grassroots, newcomer-friendly social community mentored by the national and state-wide Indivisible organizations.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolence. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

Our Goals

Objective 1: Provide a space to talk about political issues of concern, support each other, and build community.

A. Meet in person monthly (3rd Sat of the month)

B. Maintain Signal chat group

C. Organize periodic social get togethers

Objective 2: Share information about what the Trump administration is doing.

A. Send out a weekly newsletter

B. Communicate via Signal chat

C. Maintain an IMAB calendar (on the website)

D. Engage in Bridge Brigade

E. Hold Weekly (Wed or weekend) Stand Ups/Rallies (Norton-Taunton-Seekonk-Mansfield -Sharon) and other events like Anti-Fascism Pop-Ups

F. Engage with social media and regular media

G. Sidewalk Chalking & Flyers

Objective 3: Take actions to rebuild our democracy and defeat the Trump agenda.

A. Increase membership to 3.5% of our towns’ population (6,510 people) via stand ups, rallies, community events, social media, & other outreach

B. Advocate for state and national legislation and local regulations

C. Increase voting by left leaning voters via encouraging texting (Field Team 6 and Democratic national orgs ie DCCC, and other orgs), and writing postcards (1st Tuesday of month in Sharon & various times in Taunton) ( https://turnoutpac.org/postcards/, https://www.activateamerica.vote/, https://postcardstovoters.org/, https://www.centerforcommonground.org/postcards, etc. )

D. Distribute lawn signs and other vehicles for communication.

E. Organize rallies, bridge brigade, and other events. (see objective 2)

F. Protest businesses cooperating with the Trump administration.

G. Explore ways of providing mutual aid and providing vulnerable communities with assistance.
